SPORTS FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN
About the Event
CSR Team of Delhi Public School Gandhinagar organised Sports Day for underprivileged children on Children’s Day.
Objective of the Event
Sports help children to achieve better body image, self-esteem and self-confidence.
The Event
Moving ahead with the CSR Activities one more feather was added in the cap this year when the school organised and conducted various sports events for the under privileged children who live in the nearby slums. Children between age group 8 years to 15 years participated in various events like Sack race, Tug of war, Hurdle race and many more. The children were very enthusiastic and passionate about playing sports, wholeheartedly they took part and mesmerised the audience with their energetic performances. After the event they were served with refreshments. The school staff was totally involved in making this programme successful.
As a token of appreciation a cap and a flying disc was given by our respected Principal sir Mr. Atanu Rath to all the children. This type of noble causes bring equality and spread the message of love and brotherhood.
