"Nature is for everyone’s need But not for anyone’s greed So discard plastics from environment."

They are bad, destructive, non-biodegradable and well, just not cool! Plastic bags are to the environment what frenemy is to you. It may look quite useful, but with time it only harms us. The environment needs natural space just like us to work properly. With this thought in mind the CSR cell of DPSG conducted a ‘Say No to Plastic’ campaign on 19th Aug.2017.

The students of class VI went to Gandhinagar, PDPU road to spread this noble awareness. A theme based Poster Making Competition was also held at the school for class VII, with the appreciation and awarding of certificates to the winners. The message was highlighted with the conduct of Special Assembly wherein the participants recited a song, followed by a pledge and a skit for the students making their concepts clear on the harm done by plastic. The center of attraction was the display of paper bags all over the school campus, with quotes on ‘Say No to Plastic’. The students had an exceptional exposure in terms of learning and sharing.

The overall programme was fruitful. The enthusiasm of the teachers and the students towards the campaign made it more educative. The school authorities observed a paradigm shift amongst students and general public through the event. The volunteers were seen glowing with the response they got from the family of DPSG.
