"DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, GANDHINAGAR REPORT ON A VISIT TO CHILDREN’S HOME ORPHANAGE"

The students of DPS, Gandhinagar had an opportunity to do things differently on Saturday, 18th Nov. 2017, when the CSR team and students visited ‘Orphanage (Children’s Home ), to celebrate Children’s Day with them. It was a wonderful experience to be with them. In spite of fighting with the odds their heartwarming welcome made our hearts skip a beat. This visit was an unforgettable one for our students. This noble cause of spreading smiles and happiness among these less privileged children, gave immense peace and happiness to our team of students.

The children of the orphanage were touched by the cultural program conducted by the students of DPS for them and various games played with them to make the environment lively and lighter. The winners of the game were awarded prizes making their Children’s Day very special for them. The students interacted with the kids in the orphanage which made them feel wanted in the society. They spent some quality time with the children in the orphanage and it was the most worthwhile time ever spent.

The visit had made our students empathetic and compassionate for the under-privileged and the needy ones and they decided that they too would surely contribute to such worthy causes when they grow up.
